Building Learning Power

Oldmachar Academy is developing a structured approach to supporting all young people to become resilient individuals, who are confident in identifying and tackling challenges in their learning.  This programme began as a mentoring scheme for S4 students, but will begin to affect the learning of all young people from August 2012 onwards.

Extra-curricular Activities

Learning doesn't stop at the end of the lesson at Oldmachar Academy. Our pupils can take part in a broad variety of extracurricular activities and develop valuable lifelong interests. This can involve clubs at lunch times and after school. It can also involve trips and activities week events.

Information about these activities can be seen by clicking the link above.

Personalised Support for Pupils

Oldmachar Academy has systems in place to provide personalised support for all young people, at each important stage of their lives in school.  This covers transitions to school; throughout the various stages of school; and also the planning young people do for life beyond school.

Our Aims and Values

At Oldmachar Academy we have clear aims and values, which permeate all aspects of the life of the school.   These are in essence to promote Ambition and Social Justice
